“How things go when you decide that you are unhappy with your body:
You decide you need to make a change.
You start doing something.
It is hard.
You want to quit.
You keep going.
Vacation gets in the way and you lose the progress you’ve made.
You want to quit.
You decide your WHY is stronger than your quit, so you keep going.
You realize you can do this.
Things begin changing.
You get bored with the same routine and you plateau.
You want to quit.
You learn new stuff.
You begin making even better choices.
You say no to things that no longer serve you.
You begin to inspire others.
Others give you accountability.
You get excited again.
You are no longer bored because you’re making progress.
The suck doesn’t suck so bad.
The suck becomes a welcomed challenge.
5 years go by and you look at how far you’ve come.
You sign up for 30 mile races.
You dream of traversing mountain ranges.
You are looked at like a crazy person by others…. BUT…
You hope others see they are capable of the very same thing.
It just takes time and hard work.
For me, it started with a shake. Then it led to a cellular cleanse. Then my workouts improved because my body felt better. Today my nutrition keeps me in the gym and training hard. I am in the best shape of my life because I said yes 5 years ago. The picture on the left is me after college and being a Division 1 athlete. I weighed 162 lbs. The picture on the right is me yesterday weighing in at 178 lbs.
Most people give up before their body ever has a chance to change. I encourage you to stay the course!“
